Using Text in Present3D

Text is a very important feature of any presentation and it is important that it suits the presentation you are creating. Several useful techniques for using text other than the standard osgText are:

1. The use of Images

Text can be produced in application such as Photoshop and inserted into a presentation by simply using the image function and positioning it in the required place. Also with the support of alpha channels using the .png and .psd file formats on both MacOS X and Windows, text can be positioned anywhere and not effect what else is going on within a slide.

2. The use of Movies

Text and titles can be also be easy used in Movie format, allow more complex and interesting text to be used within a slide. Using the png movie format which is supported natively in QuickTime allows alpha channels to be used with movie text to create even more impressive presentations.
